My name is John.  I live south of Houston Texas.  I have been married for 21 years and have 2 kids.  I started buying rent houses in 1987.  I currently have 3 shopping centers 24 units total.  One single tenant commercial building.  Two rent houses.  One mortgage I am carrying on a rental I sold, the one on the homepage.  I had 15 rent houses at one time.  I also managed a townhouse complex for awhile.  Have bought, sold, flipped and even had a big house sawn in half and moved onto a lot I bought.  I have done six 1031 exchanges.  I spent seven years in the United States Coast Guard.  I worked on a tugboat in the Bering sea for 2 years. (yes like the crab guys on television)  Ran a 41 search and rescue boat in Galveston for 2 years and worked on the Houston ship channel for 3 years doing ship and facility inspections.  I enjoy riding my Harley. ( i am NOT a biker) I have no tatoos, piercings and do not wear black.  I also enjoy reading and growing bonsai (pronounced bone-sigh. thats for you Ron) I am a member of the Houston Bonsai Society and the Clear Lake Real Estate Investors Association.
